New Addition to the Family

A happy event arrived on my doorstep yesterday, courtesy of UPS.

Her name is Mildred, she is just a baby, but she is very smart. She loves to play in the dirt.

I watch her play for hours, until finally, she gets just tuckered out. Usually, she finds her way back to her little bed, but sometimes, she is so tired, she just stops where she is and naps on the floor. When that happens, I gently pick her up, and put her back down on her bed, where she sleeps quietly (she actually purrs slightly while she sleeps; funny, I wonder if she dreams she's a cat).

Sometimes, while she's sleeping, I pick her up, turn her over, and remove hairballs from her dustbin (if you know what I mean). She doesn't even wake up.

She is so cute.

We're going to be great friends.
