Sleepless in Red Hook
Well, we spent three weeks on the shoot, doing principal photography for Red Hook, and from what I've seen so far, it looks awesome! Terrance Mann, Christina Brucato, and the entire cast and crew did a great job.
I feel like I haven't slept the entire time.
I'm going to make myself scarce while our editor, Alex Hammer, takes all that footage and turns it into a movie. I'm pretty sure that what he doesn't need is a producer breathing down his neck... Especially one who is suffering from sleep deprivation.
The photo at right shows our sound man, Gautham Choudhury, setting up Terrence Mann (Lt. Fox) as Frankie Shaw (Deena) looks on.
I'll save the gory pics for later.

Antonioni, pace
I'm knee deep in pre-production for Red Hook. Learning everything it takes to put a movie together.
Several months ago, Adam and I got Essential Art House - 50 Years of Janus Films.
We have been going through the films one by one, and recently watched Antonioni's L'Avventura. After it's original showing at Cannes in 1960, people booed and walked out, Roberto Rossellini and other filmmakers registered their support, “Aware of the exceptional importance of Michelangelo Antonioni’s film, ‘L’Avventura,’ and appalled by the displays of hostility it has aroused, the undersigned critics and members of the profession are anxious to express their admiration for the maker of this film.”
Antonioni died Monday at age 94 in Rome.
